Lincoln, Neb. (Oct. 30, 2023) — The Nebraska Sports Council (NSC) Board of Directors has elected Scott Haas as its 17th Chairman. Haas, Division Director for Orthopedics at CHI Health, succeeds Rob Trebilcock, Senior Manager—Public Affairs at Cox Communications, who stepped down after five years.

Also elected as officers were Amy Reynoldson, Executive Vice President of the Nebraska Medical Association to the position of Vice Chair, and Pinnacle Bank Loan Officer Aaron Sundberg to the position of Secretary/Treasurer.

Newly elected Board members include Kimberly Barrett, Wellbeing Consultant at Ameritas; Derek Bombeck, Sports Director at Visit Lincoln; Miranda Long, Aquatics Director at the Fremont YMCA’s Dillon Aquatic Center and Claire Reeves, an attorney with Bruning Law Group.

Members leaving the Board include Aaron Davis, Stephanie Mattoon, Jeff Maul, Molly Nance and Ed Swotek. The elections took place during the Nebraska Sports Council Board of Directors annual meeting last week in Lincoln.
