Energy is contagious. Choose positivity. Smile. Have fun and help others have fun too.

2.WORK HARD. PLAY HARD.

Hustle with purpose and celebrate the wins. Compete hard and enjoy the journey.

3.CELEBRATE OUR PEOPLE

Participants, partners, volunteers, sponsors, and teammates matter. Recognize them often and sincerely.

4.BUILD REAL RELATIONSHIPS

Engage socially with purpose. Invest in partners, volunteers, and influencers beyond transactions.

5.FAMILY FIRST

Strong families build strong teams. Protect healthy boundaries and balance.

6.THINK LIKE A GOLDFISH

Learn the lesson and move on. Don’t dwell on mistakes; improve and keep swimming.

7.HONOR COMMITMENTS

Reliability builds trust. Deliver as promised and communicate early if changes are required.

8.COMMUNICATE CLEARLY AND EARLY

No surprises. Share information proactively. Be professional in every setting.

9.HAVE DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS EARLY

Address issues directly and respectfully. Problems rarely improve with time.

10.LISTEN FIRST

Seek to understand before being understood. Ask questions. Be a sponge.

11.SUPPORT THE TEAM

Step in when needed. Prioritize team success over individual credit.

12.TAKE OWNERSHIP

IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME. Own outcomes, not excuses.

13.ANSWER THE BELL

Show up prepared, on time, and ready to perform. Five minutes early is on time.

14.REPRESENT NSC WELL

In public, online, and in private conversations – protect and promote the brand.

15.DEVELOP PEOPLE

Help others grow. Share knowledge. Lead by example.

16.LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT

Facilities, relationships, systems, events – Ensure everything improves because of the organization’s involvement.

17.CHECK. DOUBLE CHECK. TRIPLE CHECK

Details matter. Accuracy builds trust.

18.FIND A WAY

Obstacles are not excuses. Be resourceful and solution-oriented.

19.EAT YOUR FROG

Discipline creates momentum. Tackle the hardest task first.

20.BE PROACTIVE

Anticipate needs before they arise. Solve problems before they grow.

21.COMPETE TO WIN

Pursue growth in participants, partnerships, funding, and impact. Set goals, create, and execute a game plan. Win or lose, strive to learn, adjust, and get right back in the game.

22.THINK DIFFERENTLY

Be innovative. Think outside the box. Don’t settle for “the way it’s always been done.”

23.“GOOD ENOUGH” IS NEVER GOOD ENOUGH

Strive for better. Take pride in the work. Go above and beyond.

24.EMBRACE CHANGE AND GROWTH

Improvement is the standard. Adapt quickly. Learn constantly.
