LINCOLN, Neb. (April 11, 2025) — Registration for the 2025 Nebraska Showdown, one of the Midwest’s premier junior volleyball tournaments, is set to close at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Previously the AAU Grand Prix, the Showdown has already attracted 109 teams, topping last year’s total of 94.
The tournament will be held April 26-27 at Speedway Sports Complex and Kinetic Sports Complex in Lincoln. Pool play will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, with bracket play on Sunday.
Some of the region’s top junior volleyball talent will compete in the 11s through 18s divisions. The field will feature teams from six states, including Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Utah.
The 2025 Nebraska Showdown is hosted by Nebraska Juniors Volleyball, VCNebraska and the Nebraska Sports Council (NSC), with generous support from Bison, Inc., Visit Lincoln, Goodcents, Yankee Hill Brick, Pepsi-Cola of Lincoln, Southeast Nebraska Medical Reserve Corps, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, B&R Stores, Inc. and Digital Sky.
