3,700+ Youths Registered
Lincoln (Oct. 11, 2024) — The 23rd annual Pumpkin Run will be held Sunday, Oct. 13 in the West Haymarket, beginning near Canopy and P Streets and ending in front of the Pinnacle Bank Arena main entrance. More than 3,700 runners from 50 area elementary schools are expected to complete the one-mile course in what has become the largest youth-only fun run in the nation.

Heats will be held every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are divided by grade. Each runner receives a 2024 Pumpkin Run medal and souvenir cup when they finish. Runners and their families are also invited to attend the vendor fair inside Pinnacle Bank Arena to enjoy giveaways and games from more than 20 local businesses and organizations following their heat.
The Pumpkin Run is conducted by the Nebraska Sports Council. Lincoln Pediatric Group, Home Real Estate, Runza and Black Hills Energy are the presenting partners. Lincoln Pediatric Dentistry and Rallis & Bonilla Orthodontics are the medals sponsors.
