LINCOLN, Neb. (May 15, 2024) – The Nebraska Sports Council has unveiled the medals for the 40th anniversary of the Cornhusker State Games, set to take place from July 11-21, 2024. The Games will be held across multiple venues in Lincoln, Omaha, Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, and North Platte, featuring a wide array of sports ranging from traditional events like track and field to less conventional competitions such as cornhole and chess.
This year’s medals celebrate four decades of fostering community and athletic spirit among Nebraskans of all ages and abilities. In addition to the medals, Opening Night on July 11, will be highlighted by the lighting of the caldron by Rebekah and Josiah Allick, notable athletes from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
