New hires, strategic promotions, and commendable years of service come together to illustrate the council’s steadfast commitment to promoting sports and active lifestyles across the state.

New Hires:
The council’s commitment to expanding its horizons is evident through its recent additions to the team. Luke Mieska, fresh from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a major in Sport Management and a Minor in Marketing, takes on the mantle of Director of Events. Mieska’s academic distinction, graduating with Highest Distinction, speaks to his relentless pursuit of excellence. His expertise is poised to infuse the council’s events with a new level of quality and impact.

Alayna Bergt, on the cusp of completing her studies at Northwestern College in Iowa with projected degrees in Sport Management-Media/Marketing and Business Administration, joins as the Assistant Director of Operations. Bergt’s interdisciplinary background equips her with a versatile skill set that promises to enhance the council’s operational efficiency.

Destry Miller, projected to graduate with a Business Administration Degree and a Minor in Marketing in May, is positioned to contribute his passion for marketing as the Assistant Director of Events.

Amid these exciting new developments, Ashley Kramer, celebrating her fifth year with the Nebraska Sports Council, stands as a dynamic asset to the team.
