33 Nebraska Girls Fastpitch Teams Registered
KEARNEY, Neb. (May 2, 2023) – Ballfields in Kearney, namely Patriot and Harvey Parks, will be bustling this Saturday and Sunday as 33 girls fastpitch softball teams battle it out for gold and silver medals in six divisions in the first-ever Nebraska DiamondFest.
The Nebraska Sports Council is producing the event with assistance from presenting sponsor Kearney Visitors Bureau and community partners including Kearney Parks and Recreation and the Kearney Competitive Girls Softball Association. Sayler Screenprinting is the official apparel partner. Younes Hospitality is the official lodging partner. Other local contributors include Angus Burgers & Shakes, Best Western and the Nebraska State Fair.
Teams from 15 different Nebraska towns from Gering to Plattsmouth are registered. Divisions include 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U. Rosters include more than 400 players and coaches. Schedules and real-time score updates can be found on the Tourney Machine app. Tournament information, including weather/schedule updates and photos will also be posted on the Nebraska DiamondFest Fastpitch Softball Facebook page.
