Activity Challenge Offers Motivation for Pre-Holiday Physical Activity

LINCOLN, Neb. (November 4, 2024) – Beginning today, all Nebraskans are invited to participate in a free web-based activity challenge that offers virtual badges and actual prizes for achieving and logging physical activity miles ahead of the holidays.

It’s the WellPower Movement Fall Fresh Air Challenge, sponsored by the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association, and it runs Nov. 4-25. The program encourages individuals to increase their daily physical activity with the opportunity to earn virtual badges and qualify for weekly gift-card drawings.

The Fall Fresh Air Challenge is the final component of 2024 for the WellPower Movement, a year-round activity-tracking website hosted by the Nebraska Sports Council. To take the challenge, participants log activity miles on a personal dashboard they establish for free at WellPowerMovement.com.

The main goal of the WellPower Movement Fall Fresh Air Challenge is to log at least 25 miles between Nov. 4-25. Activity miles can be achieved by walking, running, biking and/or converting other physical and mental health activities. Participants who log miles will be eligible for weekly prize drawings. Fall Fresh Air Challenge Badges are earned for each five-mile increment up to 50 miles.

The WellPower Movement is a program of the Nebraska Sports Council, which also conducts the Cornhusker State Games, the Pumpkin Run and Lincoln and Omaha Corporate Games. Learn more at NebraskaSportsCouncil.com.
