Corporate Games Set for April 22-May 1

26 companies on board for 2nd annual edition


LINCOLN, Neb. (April 16, 2019) – The 2nd annual Nebraska Corporate Games are set for April 22 – May 1 with 26 companies competing in 11 sports. 
 
The schedule is as follows:
April 22 – 4:30 p.m. – Fitness Walk, Gateway Mall, 6100 O St, Lincoln
April 23 – 5:30 p.m. – Pickleball, Speedway Sports Complex, 345 Speedway Cir, Lincoln
April 24 – 5:30 p.m. – Cornhole (Div. 1), Spikes Beach Bar and Grille, 2300 Judson St, Lincoln
April 25 – 5:30 p.m. – Cornhole (Div. 2), Spikes Beach Bar and Grille, 2300 Judson St, Lincoln
April 26 – 11:30 a.m. – Golf Scramble, Woodland Hills, 6000 Woodland Hills Dr, Eagle
April 26 – 6:30 p.m. – Bowling, Sun Valley Lanes, 321 Victory Ln, Lincoln
April 27 – 1 p.m. – Cycling Brew Tour, Speedway Sports Complex, 345 Speedway Cir, Lincoln
April 27 – 2 p.m. – Disc Golf, Max Roper Park, 3630 N 3rd St, Lincoln
April 27 – 5 p.m. – 5K Road Race, Speedway Sports Complex, 345 Speedway Cir, Lincoln
April 28 – 9 a.m. – Basketball, Southeast High School, 2930 S 37th St, Lincoln
April 29 – 6 p.m. – Volleyball (Div. 1), Spikes Beach Bar and Grille, 2300 Judson St, Lincoln
April 30 – 6 p.m. – Volleyball (Div. 2), Spikes Beach Bar and Grille, 2300 Judson St, Lincoln
May 1 – 6:30 p.m. – Trivia Challenge, Graduate Hotel, 141 N 9th St, Lincoln
 
Participating companies include:
Division 1 (300 or fewer employees) – Farmers Mutual of Nebraska, Frontier Bank, Lincoln Airport Authority, Morrow Collision Center, Pepsi-Cola of Lincoln, Pinnacle Bank, redthread, Sampson Construction, State Farm Agents, Talent Plus, UNICO and Zillow.
Division 2 (301 or more employees) – Ameritas, Assurity, Black Hills Energy, CHI Health St. Elizabeth/Nebraska Heart, Crete Carrier Corp., Duncan Aviation, Hudl, Lincoln Electric System, NEBCO, Nelnet, Scheels-Lincoln, Scheels-Omaha, Southeast Community College and Zoetis.
 
Participants will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in each sport as well as participation and placement points, which determine overall company awards.  Company awards will go to the top three companies in each division at the conclusion of the final event, the trivia challenge, on May 1. The purpose of the Nebraska Corporate Games, which is presented by the Nebraska Lottery, is to promote wellness, teambuilding and company pride.  Other sponsors and contributors include Cycle Works, Epic Wellness, Gateway Mall, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Midwest Sports Performance Institute, Nebraska Safety Council-WorkWell, Speedway Sports Complex, Spikes Beach Bar and Grille, Sun Valley Lanes, The Graduate-Lincoln and Woodland Hills.
